To make life a little easier you can group a number of kegs into a pallet. The pallet is assigned a unique barcode of its own, so when you ship the pallet, all you have to do is scan one barcode to apply events to every keg on the pallet.
Palletizing
To palletize kegs, scan all the kegs on the pallet and select the event type Palletize. A unique number will be assigned to the pallet, and you will be emailed a label with a barcode which you can print and attach to the pallet.
Scanning the Pallet
This is exactly the same as scanning individual kegs. Scan the pallet's barcode (or manually type it) in the Barcodes field. Everything else is the same.
Note: The confirmation message will display how many successful pallets were scanned not how many kegs. E.g. if you have two pallets each of sixteen kegs, the confirmation message will state there were 2 events created.
Depalletizing
Pallets will be automatically broken up when an individual keg within that pallet is scanned. E.g. if a retailer receives a pallet of kegs, they scan the pallet barcode to check them all in. When the first keg goes on tap, this scan will automatically break up the pallet. After this point if the pallet's barcode is scanned, the system will not accept it.
